iSOC®, is a groundwater bioremediation delivery system for introducing supersaturated oxygen or other gaseous substrates into groundwater. Developed by inVentures Technologies Incorporated, the patented Gas infusion technology contains hydrophobic microporous hollow fibers that supersaturate the groundwater with low decay DO. Made of stainless steel the iSOC® probe is placed in a series of monitoring or treatment wells to create a curtain of high concentration dissolved gas. The iSOC® unit transfers gases directly to groundwater in a treatment well without sparging. Each unit is connected to a source of pressurized oxygen or other substrate gases with polyurethane tubing and gas delivery is managed with a control panel that includes a gas flow meter and pressure gauges. The technology can be used as a primary remediation strategy, for polishing or for control of off-site migration.
